Uniform Law on Notarial Act

Uniform Law on Notarial Acts

The Uniform Law on Notarial Acts, approved in 2010, revises the original 1982 law, taking into account societal and technological changes in the market.  This version of ULONA adapts the notarial process to accommodate the non-uniformity among state laws and makes the law more responsive to current transactions and practices.  One of the most pervasive changes in the marketplace since the adoption of the origianl version of ULONA has been the development and growing implementation of electronic records in commercial, governmental and personal transactions.
